A brief description of the certificate program(s), including the year the program was created:
The Sustainable Development Certificate was created in 2013. Sustainable development is a major social concern that cuts across an array of disciplines. Eleven faculties work together to offer this 30-credit program. The only course of its kind in Québec, the multidisciplinary program covers the three pillars of sustainable development: environment, economy, and society. Skills developed include critical thinking, practical knowledge of the main tools for measuring sustainable development, and a better understanding of the challenges arising from sustainable development. It also offers students opportunities of internships and projects. http://www2.ulaval.ca/les-etudes/programmes/repertoire/details/certificat-en-developpement-durable.html
