Does the institution have an ongoing program to encourage students in multiple disciplines or academic programs to conduct sustainability research?:
Yes

A brief description of the student sustainability research program:
Institut en environnement, développement et société (Institut EDS) provides annually scholarships to candidates for master's and doctoral whose fields of interest are part of the research program of the Institute (in sustainability), whose research director is a member of EDS Institute. These scholarships are intended to encourage students for research and writing theses on the interrelationships between environment, development and society. From 2019 to 2021, 14 scholarships totaling $60,000 have been awarded to students whose research focuses on sustainable development.

Institut EDS graduate students can join a sustainable development research project and share their results at the annual EDS conference and in the student journal, L’intErDiSciplinaire.

Also, since 2022, a call for projects for SD-living labs on campus has been launched by Institut Environment, development and society. Up to nine such projects could get substantial fundings (5000$ each) for their developments in 2022, and nine more in 2023.

http://www.bibl.ulaval.ca/web/developpement-durable/presentation#contenu
In 2020, to support SD-material going from "in the classroom" to "online" due to pandemic, a vast repertory of numerical educative resources in SD has been assembled, developed by Institute EDS in collaboration with the Library. https://www5.bibl.ulaval.ca/explorer-par-discipline/developpement-durable/ressources-educatives-numeriques
In Fall 2022, the library starts a collaborative project with the GTERDD (Dedicated workgroup in SD teaching and research) for SDG-mapping of articles.
