All obsolete or decommissioned electronic equipment is stored in the Material Resources Department’s warehouse. The department donates equipment to OPEQ (www.opeq.qc.ca), an organization that recycles technological equipment and facilitates social insertion for marginalized young adults. If the equipment is obsolete, it is taken to a “recyclemyelectronics.ca/qc/” drop-off point or to a Quebec City ecocentre.
