A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome :
Each month, the residents of the university's Empire Commons Apartments receive an electricity bill that outlines how much electricity their four bedroom apartment used compared to the highest, lowest, and average usage across Empire Commons. The bills also disclose how much they would have owed a real utility company. Each bill includes tips for energy reduction and in the spring semester there are prizes for the lowest usage and the most change.
