A brief description of the plan:
The Office of Campus Planning is working with the Office of Environmental Sustainability to institute a "Bikable UAlbany" plan. This includes the installation and upgrade of bike racks, management of the bike share program and creating a bike co-op for repairs. In addition the inclusion of bike facilities is standard on all new construction and an on-going project on campus, the Purple Path, is directed towards safer pedestrian and bicycle traffic on campus by creating new biking and walking loops around campus.
