A brief description of the diversity office:
In keeping with the representative workforce goal set by UAlbany, the Office of Diversity and Affirmative Action will continue to assist in the recruitment, hiring, training, and promotion into all job levels the most qualified persons without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, marital status, ancestry, sexual orientation, disability, status as a Vietnam-era veteran, age, or citizenship. A brief description of the diversity coordinator's position:
The diversity coordinator is in charge of the Office of Diversity and Affirmative Action. The director follows up on all complaints and oversees Equal Opportunity Employment, Affirmative Action, and Diversity policies. The director is also in charge of policies and procedures for hiring and search committees.
