A brief description of the employee wellness program, policy, or practice:
The mission of the UB Employee Assistance Program is to provide expert confidential & timely problem identifcation/assessment and referral services to individual employees (family member & retirees) with personal concerns that may affect them on or off the job, as well as consultation services to department leadership seeking to manage troubled employees, enhance the work environment & improve employee job performance.
The UB EAP has partnerships with Wellness and Work/Life Balance, Organizational Development and Training, the Emergency Oversight Planning Group, Professional Staff Senate, the HR Advisory Group and other campus initiatives that share a common philosophy of maintaining and encouraging a productive work/life balance.
