While UB does not currently have an open access policy, it is a growing area of interest. To that end the University's Vice Provost for University Libraries, H. Austin Booth is working with the Provost and University Libraries senior management to explore implementing an open access policy in the future.
In addition, open access is encouraged and faculty can choose to pursue open access publishing with the support of the libraries: http://library.buffalo.edu/scholarly/open-access/
