A brief description of any external professional development and training opportunities in sustainability that are supported by the institution :
Staff within UB's Planning and Design office are encouraged to become LEED accredited, LEED trainings and the cost of the test are paid for by UB. UB also maintains institutional memberships to AASHE, the Post Landfill Action Network (PLAN), and the Western New York Sustainable Business Roundtable and publicizes the ability for all members of the university community to take advantage of the free resources, and professional training opportunities available as a result of these memberships.
