FY 2021-2022 data (July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022) for laptops, desktops, tablets, and displays purchased from Dell, Apple, CDW, Lenovo, and HP was pulled from UC Davis’s e-procurement system AggieBuy (https://supplychain.ucdavis.edu/procure-contract/aggiebuy) to support the analysis. EPEAT ratings relevant to the model numbers were cross-referenced with the EPEAT Registry (www.epeat.net).
The TCO Certified label was treated as equivalent to EPEAT Gold for purposes of this analysis, since TCO requires many of the items which are optional under EPEAT. High performance in this credit can be attributed mainly to high levels of EPEAT Gold purchasing from Dell and Apple.
Cora Ballek, student employee at the UC Davis Sustainability office, assisted in compiling this credit response.
