A brief description of the institution’s employee community service initiatives:
The campus does not have a formal incentive program but many departments offer compensatory time for their employees who participate in particular community service opportunities. Employees serve on various non-profit boards, participate in the Food Pantry distribution, volunteer with various sport organizations, and many participate in the 2 National Days of Service opportunities that UC Merced sponsors in our local community.
