At this time the campus does not have a formal community service volunteering program for employees. There are opportunities provided for campus community members to participate in formal organized volunteer events coordinated through the campus Community Engagement Center an other organizations and partners, but none of which are provided during regular campus work hours.

The volunteer hours reported include student volunteering participation. Student report there community service hours via the campus community engagement center. https://cec.ucmerced.edu/service-hours Figures reported included CEC center figure as well as OSL sorority & fraternity philanthropic efforts.
