A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:
UCSC maintains over 80 air permits from the Monterey Bay Air Resources District (MBARD). Equipment required to have an air permit to regulate emissions include: Cogeneration engines, hot water boilers, dust collection systems, emergency generator engines, spray paint booths and gasoline dispensing pumps.
