A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
The University of Cincinnati's (UC's) Uptown Campus is located in the heart of Cincinnati, Ohio. The Uptown Campus is divided between a "West Academic Campus" and a "East Medical Campus." Both campuses' academic, residential, administrative and independent hospital partners are supplied electricity, steam and chilled water year round by a state-of-the-art central tri-gen plant and seasonally are supplied steam from a smaller older coal plant (located on the East Medical Campus. Given its nature, the campus is operational 24/7 year round, with various business hour facilities closing at different times throughout the week and academic school year. In addition to its main campus, UC has a number of satellite campuses spread throughout the Cincinnati area (which are not included in this assessment).
