A brief description of the campaign:
The University of Cincinnati has run Housing Conservation challenges over the last few years. The intention of these competitions is to increase energy efficiency and reduce
energy consumption between dorms on campus; their effect is to raise awareness among students living in campus housing about the impacts of their individual lifestyle choices, and to promote the value of conservation. This event takes place in the spring semester annually. Data is collected during the challenge time period and real time updates are posted on https://alc.buildingos.com/s/UCincinnati/storyboard6523/?chapterId=41363

Green Events
A brief description of the campaign (2nd campaign):
In February of 2020, the Office of Sustainability launched a Green Your Event campaign for faculty and staff planning events on campus. The Office of Sustainability created a Green Event Checklist which was sent out weekly via listserv. Additionally, the Green Event Checklist is available on the Office of Sustainability's Website and began being featured on the digital display board in early February; the campaign will extend through spring of 2020.
A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign (2nd campaign):
Data will be collected about the ways in which campus events are positively impacted during spring semester. We anticipate reduced waste sent to the landfill, due to an increase in recycling and composting and a reduction in waste generated as a result of campus events organized by staff and faculty.
