The labor rights code of conduct for licensees:
The University of Cincinnati is committed to conducting its business affairs in a socially responsible and ethical manner, which are consistent with its educational, research, and service missions.

As part of that commitment, the university expects its licensees to recognize their responsibility to respect workers rights, and provide fair wages and safe working conditions for their employees producing products or services they manufacture, sell, or distribute.

To ensure these goals are met, the university has adopted a Code of Conduct as part of its licensing agreements through IMG College Licensing. The Code articulates the principles and standards licensees are required to maintain, and that the licensees are responsible for ensuring the Code is followed by their contractors, subcontractors, and primary suppliers.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
While UC is not a member of these labor rights organizations, our Trademarks & Licensing Department is involved in the licensing community regarding corporate responsibility and works with our licensing agency to monitor the activities of our licensees. As part of license agreements, UC requires licensees to agree to a code of conduct that is similar to the FLA to ensure licensees are committed to high standards of corporate responsibility and respect for worker rights. This department plans to include a section listing the code of conduct, including a list of factory disclosures showing where our licensees are having licensed products manufactured, on the Trademarks & Licensing website, but it isn't available at this time.
