Cincinnati 2030 District
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
In 2019, the University signed on to be a member of the Cincinnati 2030 District. The Cincinnati 2030 District, part of the national 2030 Districts Network, is a member organization facilitated by Green Umbrella, Cincinnati's leading sustainability non-profit organization. The mission of the District is to create a network of healthy, high-performing buildings in the City of Cincinnati. Through signing on to be a member of the Cincinnati 2030 District, members make a collective commitment to reduce their building's energy use, water consumption, and transportation emission 50% by the year 2030, based off of a 2010 baseline. Although there are currently 22 2030 Districts in the United States, the Cincinnati 2030 District is unique and innovative in its scope of commitment, as it is the only 2030 District to have a fourth component in addition to water, consumption, and transportation: that of indoor occupant health and wellness. Currently, UC and the other members of the Cincinnati 2030 District are developing metrics
