Population data was extracted from UC’s Institutional Research (IR) Office website, Facts & Dashboards page. IR makes the previous year’s data publicly available at https://www.uc.edu/about/provost/colleges-and-offices/offices/institutional-research/facts-dashboards.html
Earlier data is available only via general UC Login. Interactive (using Tableau software) sets of data available by permission only. All data is captured at or near the 15th day of class during the Fall semester.

Student Headcount – any student enrolled at UC regardless of full or part time status or number of credit hours equal one student for this definition. E.g. Student A taking only one one credit hour class is counted as one. Student B taking seven classes with twenty hours of credits is also equal to one.

Student FTE – all full time students are counted as one student. All part time as counted as .5 students.

Employee Headcount – 2008 -2015: all employees UC regardless of full or part time status or number of credit hours equal one employee for this definition. E.g. Employee works 10 hours a week is counted as one. Employee B works 45 per week is also equal to one. In 2016 UC changed the formula for published and reported data. The following formula was used. Those headcounts categorized as faculty w/FTEs >=65% as fulltime as were staff with FTEs >=75%. Faculty and staff below those levels were counted as part-time.

Employee FTE – 2016 to present: all full time employees calculated as referenced above and are counted as one. Employee that do not meet those thresholds are calculated relative what percent of full time status they work.

Note: student employees are not counted as employees for this report.

Student on site residents – IR Student factbook contains this data. Note: this report is only for UC’s main campus. Branch Campus (UC Blue Ash and Clermont College) are not included for space, population or activities. There are some branch campus students that reside in main campus housing. Those students were removed for the Student Residents on campus numbers.

No employees or other non students are know to live on campus. Student Distance Learning figure is a headcount figure
