A brief description of the themed housing:
The Baker Hall Residential Academic Program in the Natural Sciences and the Environment(Baker RAP) offers three sustainability-focused courses(two exclusive to Baker), and over six other sustainability-related courses in small classes within the hall. The two major foci of the program, Natural Sciences and the Environment, are both complemented by an emphasis on issues of sustainability and sustainable living. In 2010, Baker students amended the Hall Council Constitution to establish an Eco Chair position. Housing at the University of Colorado accommodates mainly first year students. First year students must apply to Baker Hall RAP. As stated on the Baker RAP home page: "Because of the program's emphases, it is easy to find fellow students and faculty in Baker RAP interested in Sustainability and in living a more sustainable lifestyle. Sustainability-themed field trips are facilitated by the program based on student interest."
