A brief description of steps the institution has taken to ensure that the purchasing policy, directives, or guidelines are followed:
Institution has an institution‐wide stated preference to purchase Electronic Product Environmental
Assessment Tool (EPEAT) Silver or higher products. This can take the form of purchasing policies,
guidelines, or directives. This credit does not include specialized computers for which no EPEAT certified
products are available.
In addition We receive a yearly report from Dell which lists all equipment purchased and which equipment has EPEAT certification and at what level.
Also, Dell is now preparing to sell the model 3020 which is made from recycled materials. The administration is considering whether to designate this model as the system standard model for purchase.
