A brief description of the institution’s formal community partnership to advance sustainability, including website URL (if available) and information to support each affirmative response above:
The Peak Alliance for a Sustainable Future, PASF, is the resulting organization after a multi-year effort by over 100 individuals and organizations to draft the first sustainability plan for the Pikes Peak Region (including Teller and El Paso County and the city of Colorado Springs). The university participated in the plan through staff time, leadership, and financial support (for report referenced below). The resulting strategic plan, Looking to Our Future: Pikes Peak Region 2030, details goals in ten areas of sustainability. The PASF continues to advocate for sustainability in the region, and published the 2016 Pikes Peak Regional Sustainability Report to highlight successes in the region. Students, staff, and faculty from UCCS serve on this board and help to direct efforts. The board also hosts a monthly Sustainability in Progress, free of charge, to highlight progress in all the areas of the plan.

The Colorado Springs Sustainability Committee is charged from the Mayor's office to provide recommendations and support for sustainability progress in the city. UCCS has a specific spot in this process and has helped to get the regional sustainability plan to be adopted by the City. https://coloradosprings.gov/office-sustainability/page/sustainability-initiatives

The Southern Colorado Higher Education Consortium is a framework to increase higher education access, persistence and completion. The consortium is focused on opportunities for nontraditional, underrepresented and first-generation students to promote long-term economic development Consortium members include UCCS, Colorado State University-Pueblo, Adams State College, Western State Colorado University, Fort Lewis College, Pikes Peak Community College, Pueblo Community College, Trinidad State Junior College, Lamar Community College and Otero Junior College

From the Chancellor's Office website The University of Colorado Colorado Springs campus exists because of its community's advocacy and in turn is committed to Colorado Springs and the southern Colorado region. Innovation and collaboration, two of our core values, reflect this commitment. The former speaks to our role as a catalyst for economic, social and cultural change in our communities and the latter to our search for opportunities to collaborate, to build partnerships and to engage with external organizations.
