The campus has a growing bicycle community and is supported in numerous ways by infrastructure and amenities. There is a Bicycle Advisory Committee consisting of faculty, staff, and students that advocates for bicycle progress on campus.
The campus has covered bicycle storage at Centennial Hall in the center of campus as well as in housing, Village at Alpine Valley. Bicycle lockers are available at three buildings on campus. Showers/changing rooms are available in seven buildings and are indicated on the UCCS Bike Map. All new buildings provide showers and changing rooms for commuters.

Pedal Perks is an incentive program in place since 2015 for all campus community members to bike to campus. The program provides material incentives, educational clinics, and community building activities to encourage more riding. In 2017, UCCS completed 5 Zero Dap solar bike counters at all entrances to campus to automate data collection and assist with the incentive program.

The university participates with the Sharrows program and all streets are marked to indicate bikes can travel on streets and to be aware of them.
The Sustainability Office hosts an annual Bike Month and Bike to Campus Breakfast in September. 2018 will be the 10th annual for this event.
