Green Cleaning

Cleaning is completed in-house by university custodians. There is a green cleaning program and procedures used for all buildings. This includes use of Green Seal products. Green Cleaning Procedures document is attached.

A brief description of the energy management or benchmarking program:
All utilities are measured and tracked for all buildings within the Energy Cap software program. This is shared with the state of Colorado architects office yearly. Buildings are benchmarked according to functions. The Energy Use Intensity for the campus is 79 kWh/square foot. A yearly report provides comparative performance for each building. Significant changes in performance initiate investigation into causes.

All water use data is entered into Energy Cap and compared from year to year. A yearly report provides comparative performance for each building. Significant changes in performance initiate investigation into causes. Irrigation is separated from domestic use. Retrofits on toilets, urinals, and lavoratories have been completed for all existing buildings.
