A brief description of when and why the GHG emissions baseline was adopted:
The period preceding 2013 included substantial growth in campus footprint and utility consumption. In the mid-2010s, UD had reached roughly its current building footprint, and utility usage was relatively stable on most of the campus, except for Curran Place which experienced rapid growth due to more intensive research labs that were being added to the facility. At the end of FY12-13, UD signed the ACUPCC. In the late 2010s, major energy efficiency efforts were under way. For this reason, 2013 is the most suitable baseline year.

A brief description of the institution’s GHG emissions reduction initiatives:
UD is a signatory of Second Nature and the We Are Still In commitment.
UD has a Green Revolving Fund that is used to fund energy efficiency projects on campus. It has been heavily utilized by energy management staff and has funded projects initiated outside of operations by faculty and student community members.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
Campus users differ in this section compared with PRE-5 because of differences in the reporting periods. PRE-5 demographic data is a snapshot of demographics from Fall 2020. GHG data is from the fiscal year reporting period July 2019 - June 2020.
