A brief description of the event(s):
The Rocky Mountain Sustainability Summit was hosted by the University of Denver on February 17-18, 2011.
The conference was geared to students, faculty, and staff at higher education institutions, as well as business people, non-profit workers, and government employees throughout the Rocky Mountain region. Sessions and keynote speakers focused on sustainability issues in higher education, making the business case for sustainability, educating on environmental justice issues, moving from talk to action in the area of sustainability on campus, focusing on regional sustainability issues, and much more.
