A brief description of the snow and ice removal program, policy, or practice:
Snow is removed via plowing of parking lots and some major sidewalks and via shoveling by facilities personnel of exposed stairs and entry ways to buildings. Activation of the Snow Plan is done using a three level strategy with level three including appropriation of of resources beyond the regular snow crew. Crews also regularly de-ice walkways to lessen the possibility of ice and as melting permits, break-up the ice and remove.
