A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
The mission of the Health and Counseling Center is to provide exceptional, inclusive, integrated health care. We promote student success and wellness through education, advocacy and outreach to the University of Denver community. The vision of the well@du program is to create a culture of wellness at the University of Denver. The well@du program is focused on proactive and preventative employee health aimed at enhancing individual and community well-being while mitigating health care costs.
In addition, Department of Health Promotion works towards a visions of a future where every member of the DU community will have the opportunity to learn, connect, and thrive in a supportive campus community.
Health Promotion works to achieve our vision by cultivating a thriving DU community through education, engagement, and sociocultural change.

Human Resources and Inclusive Community is happy to announce a new resource—the Faculty and Staff Support Network (FSSN)—that will ensure that co-workers and colleagues have a way to reach out and engage support for someone they believe may need it.
While many resources and systems, such as the Employee Assistance Program, already are in place to aid members of the DU community, the new FSSN will address an important gap: how to intervene on behalf of someone who is struggling. If you notice that a co-worker or colleague is behaving in a way that causes you concern or creates an environment at work that you believe is harmful or unsafe, the FSSN will allow you to intervene discretely, without concern of repercussion. You also can self-refer through the FSSN for advice about what assistance you may need, or where within DU is the right place to turn.
