The Kauluwehi garden on campus houses several native and endemic native plant species. Amongst one of those is the Ohia Lehua tree, which is listed as critically endangered.

There is no specific on going methodology for the Ohia Lehua trees on campus other than to educate students and faculty about why it is important to preserve the native species and to show the community how to take care and plant them.

There is no physical assessment of protecting Ohia Lehua on campus.

There is no specific plan, but a maintenance plan of the garden is soon being created by Garden Coordinator Dustin Palos and Nicolette Van Der Lee.
