The demographic informationcan be was found through the UH system Institional Research and Analysis Office.

The number of academic departments was emailed by Kulumanu Ishihara, who works in the academic affairs office. For the purpose of STARS we are counting each academic discipline as an academic departments.

The number of academic divisions was determined by the organizational chart linked below. Although the organizational chart shows four "departments", we are defining them as "divisions" for the purpise of STARS.
