A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
Students are given the opportunity to get learn and get involved with campus sustainability through welcome week events. One main event during the first week of classes includes sustainability information handouts, sustainability certificate handouts, sustainability club sign ups.
Welcome week also encourages zero waste through waste separation stations, separating food waste, recyclables, and general waste. Reusable mugs are also given our for free, as well as native plants and seeds for students to take home.
