There are a wide variety of health, wellness, and counseling programs available to all members of the University. UHD Health and Well-Being offer a variety of programs and workshop. Services include Fitness Release time, fitness program, health and fitness workshops and certifications, intramural sports, naturally slim, personal trainers, student health services, virtual visits and more
The Health Center offers general and specialized wellness services to students, staff, and faculty. These services include STD testing, diagnosis, and treatment of infections, diagnosis, and treatment of minor injuries, laboratory testing.
Student Counselling Services is designed to help students maximize their mental health and effectiveness at home, school or work. Through this program, students receive confidential, personal support for a wide range of issues, from everyday concerns to serious problems.
University of Houston-Downtown Sports & Fitness serves as a vital and integral part of student life on campus. The mission of Sports & Fitness is to provide the university community with programs that offer vigorous, fun-filled, health-promoting, physical activity conducive to wellness and personal development. Sports & Fitness supports the mission of UHD by seeking to create a climate that motivates members to embrace a healthy lifestyle, which can enhance their academic studies, build friendships and social skills, develop leadership qualities, and cultivate a sense of ownership and belonging to the university.
