A brief description of how the institution meets the criteria:
The University of Houston recently held its annual HUB (Historically Underutilized Businesses) Fair in order to promote and support these smaller vendors. In the Kiva Room of Farish Hall, approximately twenty-four businesses set up tables to meet with members of the UH community, sharing their products and services. At each table, representatives from the companies handed out pamphlets, catalogs, free samples of merchandise, and even prizes.
