OAAEO/HR offers diversity and sensitivity trainig for all employees.
Diversity is enriched and empowerinf for everyone. some ideas from the training include:
"There is a lot to learn from the people who are different from you. Difference can enhance a tem's effort. Challenge your reluctance to talk about differences.
Do not assume all people from a particular culture exhibit the same behaviour; many individual differences exist within cultural/ethnic groups.
Monitor your words and action, avoiding inappropriate jokes, expressions and assumptions based on stereotypes.
Build alliances with peers from other groupls by exchanging information, assistance and training, providing emotional support and recognizing peer accomplishment.
We are different individuals. The goal is to help one another learn to work together in a way that values our differences and maximizes the potential of all employees."
