A brief description of the methodology used to determine the total number of courses offered and to identify sustainability course offerings, including the definitions used and the process for reviewing and/or validating the course inventory :
The course list from Fall 2016 through Summer 2018 was compared to the 2013 list used in UIC's last submission to STARS. Courses that are no longer offered were removed and new courses were reviewed for sustainability content. If they qualified they were added to the list. In addition, we conducted a faculty survey last year and faculty self-reported if they offer courses related to sustainability. The results of that survey were included as well.
