The University has selected Dell, through a competitive Request for Proposal, as the primary desktop and notebook supplier on campus. The UI has worked with Dell to select preferred computer configurations which are EPEAT Gold and EPEAT Silver.
University purchase terms and conditions have been updated to include a clear statement regarding Energy Star-rated products to ensure that Energy Star-rated equipment is purchased whenever possible.
Training on purchasing green products is being advanced by the Purchasing Department.
