The office assists faculty members needing UI diversity data for their applications for federal/state grants or contracts and responds to special requests for data for university administrators upon request to the OCRC director. Examples include the data digest, detailing graduation rates for minority students, the Title IV report, and the underrepresentation report for faculty and staff.

A brief description of the most recent assessment findings and how the results are used in shaping policy, programs, and initiatives:
The assessments indicate generally positive results. The Iowa Board of Regents, Staff of the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (now the Division of Access Opportunity & Diversity), HR, admissions, and other University Leaders, leverage data in the reports to drive strategic initiatives. A summary of the results: The proportion of minority (13% of all students) and women (55% of all students) enrollment has increased steadily (from the Data Digest). This has been a result of the continued efforts of recruitment and retention programs initiated under the DEI Division. The faculty and staff increased by 199 women (1.6%). The total racial/ethnic minority representation increased by 172 faculty and staff (6.1%) (from the Annual Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Workforce Report). Areas for improvement have been identified in the 2022-2023 Underrepresentation Report.
Are the results of the most recent structured diversity and equity assessment shared with the campus community?:
