A brief description of the garden:
On March 3, 2010, volunteers from across the UofL community gathered at the Cultural Center to break ground on the new Garden Commons - a hands-on effort to educate and involve students in organic local food production. Through an internship program and a series of public workshops, the project teaches students, employees and the broader community how to grow their own food sustainably and about food policy issues affecting Louisville and the world.
