A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
The Sustainability Council conducted a baseline university-wide survey of commuting behaviors and willingness to consider alternatives in 2010 and repeated the survey in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2018. A random sample of students and employees were surveyed. The data reported here are from Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 combined.
