A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
UofL has adopted a modular approach to assessing employee satisfaction, engagement, and climate. Each year, one of two modules is administered to all active employees. Module One topics include diversity/inclusion, work environment, and work/life balance. Module Two topics include leadership/supervision, compensation/benefits, professional development, and campus facilities.
A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
The modular approach allows for the collection of baseline information, creation of action plans through the coordinated efforts of climate groups such as the Campus Environment Team (CET), and assessment of topics/modules after ample time for implementation of action plan to measure improvement.
