Green Office Program

A brief description of the employee educators program (1st program):
The Green Office Program (GO-Reps) offers a guide for campus offices to incorporate green practices into day-to-day operations while directly contributing to the University of Manitoba’s sustainability goals. Participation in the program requires little time commitment and is facilitated by the GO-Reps checklist and support from the Office of Sustainability. The goal of the GO-Reps program is to instill simple and effective changes in office spaces that can support healthy lifestyle choices and provide an outstanding work environment for the UM community. Examples of peer-to-peer events include Commuter Challenge, Bike to Work Day, Jack Frost Challenge, nature walks, and organics collections in offices.

There are 36 certified GO-Reps which educate 700+ staff in the areas on the green office program.

Any interested employee can apply to participate in the program and receive orientation and training on ways to make their office more sustainable.
