A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :
The methodology is that the employee has to file a first report of injury for any incidents on the job. Depending on the information provided about the incident it will then be recorded on the 300 logs based on the criteria that are set by OSHA regulations. At the beginning of the new year, the totals are calculated with the assistance of the HR department to determine days away from work and days on transferred work as well as total employees and hours worked.
