Does the institution have an ongoing program or programs that offer incentives for faculty in multiple disciplines or departments to develop new sustainability courses and/or incorporate sustainability into existing courses?:
Yes

A brief description of the program(s), including positive outcomes during the previous three years (e.g. descriptions of new courses or course content resulting from the program):
A partnership between the School of Earth and Sustainability, the Center for Teaching Excellence and Faculty Development and the UMass Library is now in its 6th year (AY2017/18) hosting an annual Sustainability Curriculum Fellows program for faculty who want to develop courses related to sustainability. Over 50 faculty have participated in this year-long program since its inception.

A brief description of the incentives that faculty members who participate in the program(s) receive:
The Sustainability Curriculum Fellows program provides two types of incentives -- membership and regular professional development for faculty, and a small financial incentive. The professional development includes a day-long orientation to sustainability education for incoming Fellows during the summer, assistance with syllabus development etc, and then provides faculty fellows with a monthly Fellows gathering at which faculty share best practices with each other, engage with guest speakers etc. The financial incentives for the SCF program involve small curriculum development grants, typically ranging from $1000 to $1500. Awards are made on a competitive basis.
