A brief description of the institution's indoor air quality plan, policy, and/or practices:
The University's Facilities Maintenance group monitors the amount of fresh air that comes into buildings, as well as the level of cleanliness of air filters. In some cases, like auditoriums, CO2 levels are monitored as well. Fan systems are designed to incorporate fresh air. Concerns and complaints are directed to U-M's Occupational Safety & Environmental Health (OSEH) department. Air quality testing occurs in response to complaints. Building Automated Services monitors additional buildings for Housing and Athletics. Athletics monitors 10 buildings, the North Campus Research Complex is monitored by the NCRC Powerhouse operations crew. The U-M Health System independently monitors their buildings.
