A brief description of how weather data or sensors are used:
Since 2006, the university has operated a computerized irrigation system, called Maxicom, across parts of North and Central campus. The system utilizes information from a campus weather station as well as on location sensors that monitors wind speed, rain, temperature and humidity to make adjustments to irrigation schedules.
