In 2011, the University of Michigan enhanced its commitment to sustainability with the creation of the Office of Campus Sustainability and the adoption of long term Sustainability Goals. The University's Five Year Master Plan (http://umaec.umich.edu/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/UMAA-FY19-Capital-Outlay-and-Project-Request.pdf) indicates that U-M "dedicate ourselves to ethical and responsible stewardship of financial, physical and environmental resources. We look for tools and strategies to create and enhance sustainable practices in all facets of operations and seek to lead in the global quest for a sustainable future."
