Yes
Percentage of employees (staff and faculty) assessed, directly or by representative sample (0-100):
100
A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
The Campus Climate Sampling Survey. The sampling approach provides the most representative picture of the U-M students, faculty, and staff reported feelings, beliefs, and experiences related to the U-M campus climate. The focus is at the level of the university at large. The research team utilized a faculty and a staff advisory committee as well as expertise from the U-M Institute for Social Research to design the sample study. An independent, outside vendor (Sound Rocket) was hired to conduct the study in order to ensure confidentiality of survey responses.
A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):
The results of the evaluations are made available to each unit on campus for them each to make their own adjustments as needed in their departments. Some positive examples include the Business & Finance Office working on a plan to enhance career path development and advancement opportunities for all staff. The School of Kinesiology partnered with the Institute for Research on Women and Gender, Women's Studies, Athletics among other units to host a gender empowerment panel discussion.
