A brief description of the certified/verified sources of clean and renewable electricity:
Renewable*Connect is a utility green pricing program from Xcel Energy.
The program is supplied with clean energy from the Odell Wind Farm and the North Star, Marshall and Aurora solar projects, all located in Minnesota. The resource blend contains roughly 80% wind and 20% solar.
The utility, Xcel, retires the Green-E Certified Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) on behalf of the University. The RECs equivalent to the University's renewable energy purchases are not attributable to any other customer.

The University has 1,973 kilowatts (DC) of on-site solar, spread across 9 locations. The University retains legal title to the Environmental Attributes (i.e. RECs) as part of this power generation. All energy generated by the systems is consumed by the University.
