The charge of the Twin Cities Sustainability Committee is to guide implementation of the MPact 2025 strategic plan goal - "Build a Fully Sustainable Future," the related actions, and the Board of Regents Policy Sustainability and Energy Efficiency on the Twin Cities campus. The work encompasses the entire span of campus activity and mission, inclusive of operations, teaching, research, and outreach, and involves:
-Identifying, curating, and fostering the adoption of specific strategies to advance sustainability at the campus level
-Advancing campus sustainability metrics and reporting
-Leading consultation with campus stakeholders
-Fostering collaboration and open exchange between academic and operational entities

A brief description of each sustainability office:
The University of Minnesota has a systemwide sustainability office led by the institution's Chief Sustainability Officer (1 FTE) and supported by a Sustainability Project Manager (1 FTE). The system sustainability office leads implementation of the MPact 2025 Strategic Plan sustainability goal and related actions, and other systemwide initiatives.

The Twin Cities campus has an office specific to the campus and is comprised of 3 FTE. The Office of Sustainability coordinates efforts, and fosters a physical environment and service culture that advances sustainability at the University of Minnesota's Twin Cities campus.

The Twin Cities Sustainability Committee's was launched in Fall 2021 and quickly undertook development of this STARS inventory, initiated climate action planning for the campus, and held a Climate Action Planning Town Hall.
