A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :
We first identified all courses offered through the registrar's database. We then sent out a faculty survey asking faculty to self-report their sustainability courses along with a description of the course's sustainability elements. We also reviewed course catalog descriptions and reached out to faculty who may have content to count.
How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Each offering or section of a course was counted as an individual course
A brief description of how courses with multiple offerings or sections were counted:
Since the registrar's office counts cross-listed courses as multiple courses, we felt that would be the most consistent as it would be difficult to identify and omit all cross-listed courses in the database, we kept them as separate courses for consistency.
