Does the institution have an ongoing program that offers incentives for academic staff in multiple disciplines or departments to develop new sustainability courses and/or incorporate sustainability into existing courses? :
Yes
A brief description of the incentive program(s):
We offer the Sustainability Across the Curriculum workshops every other year, and thus far 35 faculty have attended three different workshops. Each faculty has offered at least one new sustainability-themed course as part of the program. Given the hiring freeze during COVID, we skipped one cycle and plan to run the workshop in the summer of 2023.
A brief description of the incentives that academic staff who participate in the program(s) receive:
Faculty receive a $500 stipend for completing the workshop and offering the course sometime within the next 2 years.
